Dear Director- Metropolitan & Regional Projects

I would like to take this opportunity to OPPOSE the latest development application (see above reference) by the proponents EGC Custodian for 5 Whiteside Street, North Ryde this being their  second amendment to this proposal.

You may be aware of the Group of concerned residents who call themselves WAG (Whiteside ACTION Group) and whilst I do not live in the immediate vicinity of the proposed development, I strongly believe that this  development will, as expressed in the WAG’s statement of objections, negatively affect the area in which my family live and it’s amenities.  This proposed development, in its current incarnation, in no way fits in with what we have all paid a lot of money to buy; that is, peaceful, quiet suburban streets where children can safely walk to school without fear  of traffic snarls in their local street or the threat of ever encroaching high –rise ghetto style building developments that will completely change the nature of the suburb we live in, not to mention our property prices should we wish to sell our homes to get away from this encroachment.

I was heartened by the recent PAC determination that the similar proposed development in Allengrove Crescent MP 10_0037  (very close to us) BY THE SAME PROPONENT  would not be in keeping with the local area and in the interest of the suburb and its residents, and I would hope that the same determination will result from this application.
I will leave you to ponder the aptly written WAG statement of objections, as they have very eloquently stated all of the objections I too, have to this development and I look forward to your intelligent and forward thinking assessment.

Kind Regards

Simone Leo
