RE: The Application - 5 Whiteside
Street and 14-16 David Avenue, North Ryde
(MP10-0165)
Dear sirs,
In relation to the above Residential Development Application
(MP10-0165), I hereby submit my support for the submission made
by WAG (Whiteside Action Group). We already suffer a lot of
inconveniences as a result of many cars illegally parked on week
days, including near misses and dangerous lack of vista (not to
mention significant slowdowns in traffic). The proposed
residential redevelopment is bound to worsen this already bad
situation with significantly increased traffic. It is to be noted
that these illegally parked cars disappear on weekends,
indicating that they belong to workers on the other side of
Epping Road, where sizable business development is taking
place.
The proposed redevelopment is also totally out of line with the
existing residential character of the area, where the home owners
have chosen to live with their growing families because of it
(and many of us have lived here for many, many years). High to
medium density residential development should be confined to the
other side of Epping Road, which forms a natural boundary.
In a civilized country such as Australia, urban development
should proceed cautiously, considering natural boundaries and
respecting the rights of existing residents. Therefore, my family
and I strongly object to the
Residential Redevelopment
Application (MP10-0165).
Yours sincerely,
Hiroshi Inada
